Well, after some four or five years of service, my one Windows desktop finally bit the big one. The problem with abstaining from incremental upgrades is what happens when something like a motherboard fails spectacularly: you have to replace everything. New motherboard, new memory, new CPU, new drives ...
Looks like there won't be any PC gaming for the better part of 2008. At least, nothing beyond Quake II. Keep on keeping on, dear Mini, for you're my last hope.
Now I've got a 9800 PRO and hard drives without a machine to put them in.
