Once again: not dead

I am, however, graduated. Officially. I'm also employed. About a month after I last put something here, I was hired at a local company as a tech support monkey – the official title is something like "MIS administrator." If there is one thing that the last few months have taught me, it's that tech support is like a game of hackey sack that never ends; you just keep the ball in the air until someone or something comes around and punches you in the face.

I knew that. I'd worked in tech support for the entirety of my college career. When I graduated in December, I swore to myself I wouldn't work the field again.

After a month and a half of unemployment, I really didn't care where I worked.

Now that I'm not broke, bored, and starving, my standards have returned. The problem here is that I've got no vacation days with which to job hunt, nor do I have the documented professional experience required to break into the writing arena. Illustrators aren't in high demand, as far as I know.

Or are they?
